[Slides]REMI Tax-PI: Dynamic Fiscal Analysis of State Policies – Peter Evangelakis, Ph.D., REMI
It was great seeing everyone in New Orleans at this year’s FTA Revenue Estimating Conference. REMI appreciates the opportunity to network with others in the industry, discuss important policy decisions, and explore fiscal scoring and analysis during our Solution Series presentation.
For those who were unable to join us for our FTA presentation, “REMI Tax-PI: Dynamic Fiscal Analysis of State Policies,” Senior Economist Peter Evangelakis, Ph.D. will be offering an encore presentation as a REMI webinar on Wednesday, November 13th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (ET).
This assessment of state policies includes an overview of the REMI Tax-PI model and how it analyzes the fiscal and socioeconomic effects of legislative changes.
Fiscal policy, the fiscal impacts of non-fiscal policy, and fiscal resiliency will be examined during this discussion as Dr. Evangelakis explains how these issues are evaluated within the Tax-PI model.
Dr. Evangelakis will describe the intricate relationship between a budget and its economic foundation in order to explain how to accurately analyze how policy changes affect a state’s population, economy, and government revenues. The methodologies implemented in fiscal resiliency analyses and dynamic tax assessments across the country will be included in this encore presentation.
