Populist ideas have captured the hearts and minds of voters. While solutions offered by these movements can be simplistic, the proposals also may reflect valid issues worthy of consideration.
Economic analysis can serve as a way of examining proposals and shaping them into practical policies. Nonpartisan evaluation of economic impacts can contribute to the dialogue at a time when populism is galvanizing both the right and left.
Please join REMI economic associates Elliot Jerry and Harry Walsh for their upcoming free seminar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. when they will present “Populism, Policy Analysis and the Economy.”
This presentation also analyzes the economic effects of select federal policies, including the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act and the Green New Deal. We are prepared to discuss the latest updates from the economic development and transportation sectors, among other policy areas.
We’re offering this event free of charge; however, we do ask that you register in advance. If you would like to attend this event, please email Brian Boyd at brian.boyd@remi.com, contact us by phone at (413) 549-1169, or fill out the registration page for this event.
